A Change that has Occurred in My Life

When I was 6 years old, my family and I went to Canada. At that time, I saw a lot of children like me who had brothers or  sisters. I was lonely so I began to want to have a little sister. I even prayed to God a thousand times for it. At last it came  true. “ Wa,Wa.” Crying sound came from Mom’s bedroom. It must had been my sister Anna. I dashed through the hallway as fast as I could. I wanted to see her right now. A lovely little angel appeared into my eyes. She had little strike cheek and bright little eyes. She was so beautiful and lovely that I immediately loved her at once. But who knew that my life had a big spin around.

  While my sister grew up, she began to take hold of my toys. Once upon a time,I was playing with my favourite lego man. My sister Anna walked into the room and asked, “ Can I have a little lego man please. ”

“ No, that is mine. ”

“ Please, you are the best brother. Just let me have a look at it. ”

“ I’m sorry but this is my favourite toy. ” Anna was fed up with it. She grabbed the toy immediately and ran away as fast as she could. I tried to grab her but failed. Anna giggled and laughed. She hid into her bedroom.

“ Get out ,Anna. Give the toy back to me. ”I shouted loudly.

“ No, never. ” Anna said behind a door.

“ What’s happening here? ”Mom ran to check up what was going on.

“ She took my toy. ”

“ I don’t care. ”Mom said. At that time I had been a little fed up with my sister.

Sometimes Anna would read my book. I was not happy with that. Once I couldn’t find my English book. I searched all over the house. At last I found that Anna had taken the book. As she flipped through the pages, laughter came from her mouth. I tried to persuade her to give the book back to me. But she wouldn’t listen to me a word. I grabbed the book but she held it as hard as she could. I said, “ Let it go. ”

“ Mine.” Anna shouted.

Mom came in and let Anna have it. It was Anna who took my book away. I felt very upsets and I believed I had enough of her.

Alghough Anna was naughty, I enjoyed working with her. Friendship grew between my sister and me. Once I tried to take some snack.

“ What are you doing? ”  My sister asked .

“ Nothing, Just nothing. ”  I answered nervously.

Anna looked at me around and said, “ You are going to take some snacks. That’s not a problem. I can watch on Mom and Dad. But you must share snacks with me. ”

“ Fine , I will work with you. ” I sighed.

“ What’s going on there? ” Mom asked.

“ It’s ok, Mom. ” Anna said.

After that the house had fallen into a horrible peace.

“ Kevin , I want some chocolates please. ” Anna said.

“ All right. You just keep your eyes on Mom and Dad, Ok? ” I tiptoed to the refrigerator. But I found out that I was not tall enough to reach it. Anna dragged a little wooden chair in front of me. I was quite surprised at first. But then I climbed up the chair . I opened the refrigerator as carefully as I could. I  tried to take a little piece of chocolate out. “ Mom is staring at her phone. ” Anna told me. I grabbed the snacks out quickly and glared around nervously. We tiptoed as softly as We could and sneaked into the living room. We enjoy the snacks. The room was in a mess.

When Mom and Dad saw bottles lying in the ground and rubbish everywhere, they were very angry. It was just like a volcano going to erupt. I could find that the magma on Mom’s head was going to burst out. My sister and I were banned from snacks for a week. But we played happily and added much harmonious in the family life.

Once Anna caught a terrible disease. I was quite glad at first because no one could bother me now. After a few days I began to miss Anna ,which I hadn’t expected. I was relived when she came out of hospital. After that I read books to her and played  with her. Anna was tired then she leaned on me. I changed my opinion about Anna in the end.

Despite the fact that sometimes Anna was a bit annoying, I would never let her down. The birth of Anna made a big spin around to my life. I thought it was great and it would be much  better in the future.

A Change That Has Occurred In My Life

On a summer night, I often look up the sky and watch the twinkling stars. In my heart, the twinkling stars in the night sky not only comfort my heart, but also teach me how to make life choices.

One evening in 2018, my friend and I traveled with our parents in South Korea and had barbecue in a restaurant. When we were almost finished eating, I unfortunately quarreled with my friend over the distribution of the beef slices. Even ‘Chopsticks Troops’ and ‘Spoon Troops’ marched together, attempted to get that piece of beef. Mum and dad saw this and come up at once to stop the fight and added a plate of beef for us. But we were still angry, staring at each other and still not giving in to each other. “Aren’t you best friends? Why can’t your friend have two slice of beef?” Our parents warned in a joking tone. Customers who were having their meals at other tables were attracted by the ‘international war’ and looked at us together at that moment. Our faces suddenly felt extremely hot.

Our parents immediately made us get up and leave that restaurant. On the way back, My mother pointed out what I did wrong, but I wasn’t convinced by my parents’ persuasion. During the next walk to the beach across from our hotel, we still ignored each other. After a while, the adults were still chatting, but I was walking to the shallow water by myself, counting with my eyes the stars that seemed like countless gems scattered on the black marble lake. As I counted, I suddenly felt how vast they were. The stars all over the sky seemed to smell at me. Are they laughing at my childish behavior? It is really inappropriate to quarrel with friend over two pieces of beef. Thinking about that, my mood immediately improved. The universe can hold so many stars, why can’t my best friend and I hold two pieces of beef? Should our next movie be like the universe and the sea? At the thought of that I immediately ran to my friend to apologize. He was shock at first and then forgave me immediately. The shining stars in the night sky taught me to be tolerant when the closet ones make mistakes.

When night comes, when I look up at stars, when I face new choices in my life, these beautiful stars will give me the answers. Because I believe, compare with the endless universe, how insignificant I am, and how insignificant are the problems I face. I am very glad that I have learned to count stars. It has taught me which road to chose when I hesitate at a fork in the road. The stars in the sky have been twinkling for a long time, and they will continue to shine after a long time... I hope more and more people like these blinking spirits in the sky. They will be handed over to more people so that people can realize their dreams.

  As for the changes that have taken place in my life, I have never argue with my good friends again, and I have also become more interested in and curious about astronomy. I hope that these changes can also guide my life like stars and act as ‘guides’ in my life.
